This position is a full-time management role within the Event Management category, focused on overseeing banquet and event service operations at The Westin Seattle. The role requires a dynamic and experienced individual who thrives in a fast-paced hotel event environment and is committed to delivering flawless events and superior guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include coordinating closely with culinary staff and stewards to meet service needs during functions, managing the setup and presentation of banquet rooms and event spaces, ensuring cleanliness and presentation standards of serviceware, and engaging with guests to ensure satisfaction during events. The candidate will lead daily shift teams, conducting meetings and briefings to maximize team performance and service quality. Critical to this role is the management of inventory and supplies, scheduling of event staff to meet forecasted needs and service standards, and collaborating with Event Technology and Event Planning teams to secure seamless event executions. The role also includes financial duties such as totaling charges and preparing payment documents for group functions. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong operational leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining brand standards and legal compliance. Emphasis is placed on fostering a motivated and empowered team environment driven by continuous improvement, teamwork, and passion for exceptional service. This position also supports human resource activities such as coaching, mentoring, performance appraisal assistance, and participation in recruitment and scheduling to maintain adequate shift coverage. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or 2-year degree from an accredited university in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major
- minimum 2 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area
- or at least 3 years of experience in two of the following areas of hospitality including food and beverage, culinary, guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area
- ability to manage event operations and lead teams
- knowledge of event service standards and compliance
- ability to communicate service needs and manage inventories
- strong problem solving and scheduling skills
- familiarity with OSHA regulations

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field
- 2 years experience in food and beverage, culinary, guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area
- or 3 years of hospitality experience in two of the following areas: food and beverage, culinary, guest services, front desk, housekeeping
- experience running a shift, scheduling, performance management, problem solving, day-to-day hospitality operations
- ability to lead teams and communicate effectively

Job Duties
