The role of Assistant Event Manager at Four Seasons is an integral position within the hotel's banquet division, focusing on delivering exceptional event experiences in line with the brand's respected standards. Reporting directly to the Banquet Manager, the Assistant Event Manager plays a critical role in orchestrating and supervising banquet operations, leading banquet staff, and ensuring flawless execution of events. Job Requirements

  • Possession of a food handler's card
  • M.A.S.T certification where required
  • Understanding of Four Seasons cultural elements core standards regulations and protocols
  • Experience in banquet or food and beverage operational oversight
  • Strong computer hardware and software proficiency
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage a diverse team and operational demands

Job Qualifications

  • One to two years experience as an assistant manager in banquet or food and beverage
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations cost management staffing oversight and financial management
  • Proficiency with computer software including MICROS Microsoft Office labor management and payroll systems
  • Strong communication skills with diverse clientele
  • Ability to anticipate and prioritize customer and employee needs
  • Ability to showcase individual service style within brand standards
  • Enthusiastic approach to leadership and event management

Job Duties

  • Hire instruct assess guide inspire mentor and manage banquet staff and managers
  • Be present during operations to build relationships and address guest and group needs
  • Ensure compliance with banquet event orders collaborating with group representatives and managers
  • Maintain quality and timeliness of culinary offerings and beverage service
  • Manage labor costs scheduling budgeting procurement inventory and cash handling
  • Participate in operational meetings to enhance communication and collaboration
