Job Description
This job posting is for a position at a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. It is important to note that this franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from McDonald’s USA, which owns the overall McDonald’s brand and trademarks. The franchisee holds a license to use McDonald’s logos, trademarks, and food products while running the restaurant but has full control over employment matters including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling of employees at the restaurant. McDonald’s USA does not have any involvement in hiring or employment decisions, and all applications are handled directly by the franchisee. If hired for this position, the franchisee will be your employer, not McDonald’s USA.
The restaurant is part of the quick-service restaurant industry, known for serving high volumes of customers efficiently with a focus on quality, service, and cleanliness. Working in this environment can be fast-paced and rewarding, offering employees opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.
The role being offered is for an Assistant Evening Manager. This position involves assisting the General Manager in running a profitable restaurant during the evening shifts, ensuring the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical customer standards, which revolve around Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. The Assistant Evening Manager plays an essential role in supporting the General Manager by helping to set the restaurant’s goals and implementing plans to achieve them.
The Assistant Manager is also a key leader who works closely with other managers in the restaurant, leading them toward meeting their individual responsibilities. This leadership includes coaching, providing guidance, and tracking progress so that the management team runs efficient and effective shifts. The role requires strong interpersonal and leadership skills to foster a positive, productive work environment.
Additionally, the Assistant Evening Manager may be involved in hiring crew members and developing the team to ensure the restaurant has capable people ready to meet future challenges. This is a crucial component of ensuring continued success and growth for the restaurant and the team.
This position offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package. Employees are eligible for paid time off, medical and dental coverage, and free meals while on shift, along with free uniforms and non-slip shoes provided by the company. The company also provides access to educational opportunities through the Archways to Opportunity program, which offers chances to earn a high school diploma, college tuition assistance, and English language classes for non-native speakers.
Additional benefits include training and advancement opportunities as well as a 30% discount on food purchased at participating McDonald’s locations. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in a high-volume environment, who have previous management experience—especially in quick service restaurants or hospitality—and who aspire to grow within the industry. Candidates must be at least 18 years old to hold this managerial position.
Overall, this opportunity represents a solid pathway for career development in restaurant management within a globally recognized brand operated by an independent local franchisee. It combines hands-on leadership experience with valuable employee benefits and training programs designed to support advancement and educational growth.
