Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years experience in housekeeping or related area
- or 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- management experience in housekeeping

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 2 years housekeeping or related experience
- or 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with no work experience required

- knowledge of housekeeping standards and procedures
- strong leadership and communication skills
- ability to train and motivate staff
- experience in scheduling and attendance tracking

Job Duties
- Review staffing levels to meet guest service and operational needs
- obtain lists of rooms to be cleaned and prospective check-outs to prepare work assignments
- inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies
- supervise inspection programs for guestrooms and public spaces
- manage department operations to meet financial goals
- ensure employees have proper supplies and uniforms
- communicate areas needing attention and follow up with staff
- supervise daily housekeeping shift operations
- participate in departmental meetings to communicate goals
- use on-the-job training tools for new and existing employees
- establish open and collaborative relationships with employees
- schedule staff according to business demands and track attendance
- ensure employees understand expectations and policies
- administer disciplinary procedures fairly
- provide feedback on employee service behaviors
- ensure employee recognition occurs on all shifts
- solicit employee feedback and review satisfaction results
- participate in progressive discipline and hiring processes
- set a positive example for guest relations
- develop and implement corrective action plans for guest satisfaction
- empower employees to provide excellent customer service
