This job opening is for a full-time Management position based at the JW Marriott location in San Antonio, Texas. The role focuses on overseeing daily housekeeping and laundry operations to ensure that guest rooms, public areas, and employee spaces are impeccably maintained. Reporting responsibilities include managing housekeeping functions and staff, conducting inspections, and executing operational plans to enhance cleanliness and customer satisfaction. The position is also tasked with budget management, ensuring operational objectives align with and contribute to the overall financial goals of the property. Effective communication with team members and departmental collaboration are key for achieving desired results.

The Housekeeping Manager will supervise shift operations, uphold housekeeping policies and standards, and maintain inventory control to guarantee sufficient supplies and equipment are available. Human resources duties are integral, including training and scheduling employees, monitoring attendance, administering disciplinary procedures, and promoting a positive workplace culture through employee recognition and open communication channels. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years experience in housekeeping or related professional area
  • Or two-year degree from an accredited university in a related major
  • Effective leadership and management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Ability to schedule and track employee time
  • Knowledge of housekeeping standards and procedures
  • Ability to conduct inspections and maintain quality control

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Review staffing levels to meet guest service and operational needs
  • Obtain and assign cleaning tasks based on check-outs and immediate room requirements
  • Inventory housekeeping supplies to ensure adequacy

  • Manage housekeeping operations to meet budget goals
