Hyatt’s reputation for excellence is supported by a culture that prioritizes guest satisfaction, innovation, and operational efficiency, making it a highly desirable employer within the hospitality sector.
Hotel Kabuki, a distinguished Hyatt property, is currently seeking an exceptional Assistant Director of Operations to join their leadership team. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $134,400 and plays a pivotal role in the overall operation of the boutique hotel. The role primarily focuses on the multi-faceted Food and Beverage (F&B) Division while maintaining active involvement in Rooms Operations. The Assistant Director of Operations works closely with the Director of Operations and the Rooms leadership team to ensure seamless and elevated guest experiences throughout the hotel.
As the Assistant Director of Operations at Hotel Kabuki, you will oversee all aspects of the food and beverage operations, which encompass a variety of outlets including the breakfast buffet Small Farms, the lobby bar Haibu, the lobby market Konbini, the banquets division, and the employee dining program. This role demands a hands-on hospitality leader passionate about experiential food and beverage concepts, innovation, and service excellence. The successful candidate will be entrusted with driving operational excellence, fostering high-performing teams, elevating guest satisfaction, and achieving financial targets across all departments.
In addition to leading the F&B division, the Assistant Director of Operations supports other hotel divisions such as Front Office and Housekeeping, ensuring operational continuity and superior service delivery. This leadership role involves managing budgeting, forecasting, labor planning, and controlling costs, purchasing, and waste reduction initiatives to maximize profitability. The Assistant Director will also collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to develop and implement strategies that increase brand visibility and market share.
Hotel Kabuki values strategic vendor partnerships and expects the Assistant Director to establish and maintain relationships that enhance operational performance and contribute to long-term business growth. Providing outstanding customer service and maintaining compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt corporate standards are essential responsibilities. Given the dynamic nature of hospitality, flexibility in working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required.
This role also emphasizes employee development by hiring, training, coaching, and mentoring F&B managers and colleagues. The Assistant Director is responsible for performance management, salary reviews, and implementing initiatives that drive colleague engagement and satisfaction.
Join Hotel Kabuki, where you will be part of a motivated and connected team, contributing to a brand that is synonymous with hospitality excellence. This opportunity offers professional growth, a supportive environment, and the chance to make a significant impact on guest experiences in a vibrant boutique hotel setting. Experience the unique blend of culture and service that defines Hyatt and elevate your career by leading operations at one of San Francisco’s premier hotels.
