The Security and Safety Services Management position at the Gaylord Rockies Resort in Aurora, Colorado, is a full-time management role dedicated to ensuring a secure, compliant, and thriving environment for both guests and employees. With an annual pay range between $81,000 and $109,000 and bonus eligibility, this role offers a rewarding career path in the loss prevention and security sector. The manager assists with directing and overseeing the Security and Safety Services functions, including convention services, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company standards and procedures. They play a pivotal role in customer engagement, attending planning meetings with meeting planners to actively sell Special Event Security and recommend additional services tailored to enhance safety and security during events.

A core focus of the role involves coordinating VIP and dignitary visits, liaising with government agencies and Group Corporate Security, and vigilantly monitoring upcoming group activities and special events to maintain a safe and welcoming atmosphere throughout the facility. The manager oversees activities of vendors and external companies operating on-site, safeguarding guests and assets through meticulous oversight. Additionally, this position contributes to the development of loss prevention and safety programs by analyzing data to advise management on effective preventive measures and innovations.

Supporting the financial health of the department, the manager assists with budgeting and cost control initiatives and monitors payroll for accuracy. By spearheading programs that reduce losses and enhance property security, the manager directly contributes to the profitability and operational success of the location. They also manage the flow and distribution of materials, supplies, and equipment, ensuring operational efficiency.

The position demands strong leadership in human resources activities, including promoting participation in safety programs, conducting mandatory safety training, establishing performance standards, scheduling security personnel, and mentoring staff for future leadership succession. Job Requirements
