Job Description

The Lifestyle Group is a visionary hospitality company dedicated to crafting unique hotel experiences that are deeply rooted in artistry, individuality, and authentic community connections. With a special focus on properties under the Bunkhouse brand, the group emphasizes creating spaces with soul, where each hotel not only offers exceptional service but also resonates with a distinct and captivating personality. The Lifestyle Group's commitment to developing hotels that foster a vibrant culture and sense of belonging makes it a pioneering force in the hospitality industry, particularly across growing markets such as Austin and Houston.

The Assistant Director of Human Resources at the Lifestyle Group plays an instrumental role in nurturing and advancing the company's people strategy and culture within the Bunkhouse properties. This position is designed for a dynamic individual who will work closely with the Area Director of Human Resources and various hotel leadership teams to deliver comprehensive HR programs. The goal is to ensure a consistent and engaging associate experience that aligns seamlessly with the creative spirit that defines Lifestyle hospitality. This role demands a strategic and hands-on approach in managing talent, enhancing operations, and promoting organizational effectiveness, all while maintaining the vitality of the Bunkhouse culture.

Operating as a trusted advisor, the Assistant Director of HR is a key partner to General Managers and property leadership, enabling a people-forward philosophy essential to the success of multiple hospitality locations. This position balances operational HR duties such as onboarding, payroll coordination, compliance, and employee relations with more strategic activities such as culture-building, engagement initiatives, and leadership development support. Additionally, the role involves extensive data and reporting activities to help guide HR priorities and decisions.

The Assistant Director is expected to adopt a proactive approach to workforce planning and talent development. This includes partnering with property leaders to support recruitment, training, and retention programs that strengthen team capabilities and foster employee satisfaction. By advancing these efforts, the Assistant Director helps to ensure that each Bunkhouse hotel remains a place where associates feel valued, inspired, and connected.

Overall, this opportunity within the Lifestyle Group is ideal for HR professionals with progressive experience, particularly in hospitality or multi-unit operations, who are seeking to leverage their expertise in a creative, fast-paced, and evolving environment. Candidates passionate about delivering exceptional human resources services while preserving and enhancing a unique hotel culture will find this role both challenging and rewarding. The Lifestyle Group embraces diversity and inclusion, encouraging individuals from all backgrounds to apply and grow their careers within its innovative hospitality portfolio.
