Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, hospitality management, business administration, or a related field preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in human resources, preferably in hospitality or hotel operations
- Spanish fluency preferred but not required
- Prior supervisory or management experience
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, recruitment processes, colleague relations, and HR best practices
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Experience using HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications
- HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred
- Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and counsel employees supporting their development
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage priorities, deadlines, and multiple stakeholders
- Ability to complete projects with accuracy and attention to detail
- Open-minded and innovative approach to challenging the status quo
- Ability to demonstrate authentic human care for guests and colleagues
- Working knowledge of collective bargaining agreements
- Experience in employee relations, HR administration, and payroll coordination
- Ability to handle sensitive situations professionally, fairly, and discreetly
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Support the Director of Human Resources in daily departmental operations and serve as a key point of contact for HR-related inquiries
- Coordinate the day-to-day workflow of the HR office ensuring priorities, deadlines, follow-ups, and internal processes are handled efficiently and with structure
- Supervise, support, and guide the HR team to ensure clear responsibilities, consistent practices, and a high level of internal service
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers and colleagues regarding performance management, workplace concerns, policy interpretation, grievances, and other sensitive issues
- Provide practical HR guidance to department heads and managers on people management, policies, procedures, and employment matters
- Responsible for payroll processes ensuring accurate preparation, review, and coordination of payroll-related information
- Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, training, development, internal communication, employee engagement, and colleague experience initiatives
