Rooted in a culture of belonging, Hyatt emphasizes the power of connection, sustainability, and human-centered service. With properties worldwide, Hyatt offers a diverse working environment where individuality is valued, and every team member’s role contributes to the overall guest experience. As a hospitality company, Hyatt is dedicated to creating journeys from trips, transforming simple encounters into memorable experiences, and inspiring its employees to grow professionally within a supportive and enriching environment.

Located in downtown Miami, Hyatt’s flagship hotel is situated in the vibrant Brickell neighborhood, a trendy area known for its dynamic mix of business, shopping, and cultural attractions. Overlooking the Miami River, the hotel benefits from its proximity to local highlights such as the Miami Riverwalk, Bayfront Park, the Port of Miami, and the Kaseya Center. This prime location not only offers hotel guests easy access to prominent attractions like Brickell City Center, Little Havana, and the Frost Museum of Science but also provides its staff with an exciting and engaging workplace environment.

The Assistant Director of Human Resources position at Hyatt in Miami is a senior leadership role designed to support the Director of Human Resources in steering the hotel’s HR department towards operational excellence and a strong employee-centric culture. This role requires the individual to be deeply involved in all facets of human resources, including colleague relations, recruitment, training, benefits administration, compliance, and employee engagement. The Assistant Director acts as a vital liaison between hotel leadership and staff, ensuring communication flows seamlessly and policies reflect the organization’s values and compliance requirements.

In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the HR function, coordinating workflows and maintaining structure and efficiency within the department. Supervising and mentoring the HR team, the Assistant Director ensures consistent practices and high-quality internal service delivery. You will provide coaching and guidance to managers and colleagues on key topics such as performance management, workplace conflicts, policy interpretation, and grievance resolution. Additionally, this position is responsible for payroll coordination and the accurate handling of employee data.

Hyatt's HR department is committed to fostering a respectful, transparent, and supportive workplace culture. As the Assistant Director of Human Resources, you will contribute significantly to talent development and retention strategies, participate actively in employee engagement initiatives, and lead the creation and continuous improvement of HR policies and standard operating procedures. Your leadership will be pivotal in bridging HR strategic priorities with hotel operations to drive sustained organizational success.

This position is more than a job—it’s a stepping stone for growth, preparing you to eventually become a Human Resource Director within Hyatt. The role demands a high level of professionalism, discretion, and a genuine passion for hospitality and people development. Hyatt offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and employee discounts, supporting the well-being and advancement of its team members. Join Hyatt and be part of a company where your career is valued as much as the guests you help to serve.
