The Assistant Director of Sales for Groups role at The Ritz-Carlton in Irving, Texas is a full-time management position with an annual salary range of $103,000 to $134,000, and eligibility for bonuses. This role specifically supports the property’s group sales efforts by managing a team of on-property group sales associates and driving the achievement of group revenue goals. Job Requirements
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration Marketing Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major and 4 years sales marketing experience
- OR 4-year bachelor degree in Business Administration Marketing Hotel and Restaurant Management or related major and 2 years sales marketing experience
- Proven ability to manage and lead a sales team
- Experience in group sales and hospitality industry
- Strong negotiation and contract closing skills
- Ability to develop and implement sales strategies
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to work full-time at the Irving Texas location
Job Qualifications
- 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration Marketing Hotel and Restaurant Management or related field with 4 years experience in sales and marketing

Job Duties
- Manages directs and assists the on-property Senior Sales Executive to achieve revenue goals for all opportunities
- Participates on the sales leadership team with Director of Sales and Marketing DOSM Director of Group Sales DOGS and Revenue teams
- Achieves group revenue goals by responding to incoming group catering opportunities within peak room parameters
- Understands market conditions including competitors strengths and weaknesses and sells against them
- Closes the best opportunities based on market conditions and property needs
- Uses negotiating skills and creative selling to close business and negotiate contracts
- Acts as primary contact resolving customer and contract issues and group lodging organization bookings
- Provides leadership mentoring and support for direct reports
- Develops and manages group sales revenue and operation budgets and provides forecasting reports
- Works collaboratively with off-property sales channels to ensure complementary sales efforts
- Executes exemplary customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Coordinates group sales resources on-property to sustain sales strategies
- Maintains accountability for maximizing group revenue opportunities by up-selling and accurate forecasting
- Executes and supports Marriott and brand service standards and initiatives
