The role of the Assistant Director of Food Services at Oak Park Place is pivotal in maintaining the high standards of nutritional services provided to residents. This position serves as a direct assistant to the Director of Food Services, playing an essential role in supervising daily operations and ensuring that every meal meets quality and safety standards. Beyond meal preparation, this role is integral in enforcing food safety guidelines, managing inventory, and providing leadership and support to the food service team. The Assistant Director of Food Services is actively involved in planning and implementing cycle menus tailored to meet the dietary needs and preferences of residents. Additionally, this role includes organizing staff development and training programs aimed at maintaining and improving service levels.

Job Requirements
- An associates degree or higher is required
- Current ServSafe certification is required in accordance with state/county law
- Experience in long-term care is preferred
- Two years or more related dining/nutrition experience is desired

Job Duties
- Assist the food service program with following all Oak Park Place policies and procedures, and federal/state requirements
- Provides leadership, support and guidance to ensure that food quality standards, inventory levels, food safety guidelines and customer service expectations are met
- Makes sure facility has sufficient supplies
- Assist in the planning and implementing of cycle menus
- Plan, conduct or arrange for food service staff development/in-service training programs and maintain program documentation
- Ensure the quality control of all food trays leaving the work area
- Support the facility by following policies and procedures that help advance the goals and values of Oak Park Place
