The Athletic Department at Baylor University is currently seeking a dedicated Event Management and Facilities Assistant Director. This full-time position requires a bachelor's degree and a commitment to the Christian faith, with a preference for candidates holding a master's degree and possessing at least three years of relevant work experience. Authorized to work in the United States full-time, the successful candidate will be instrumental in coordinating and managing athletic events and facilities. The Assistant Director's responsibilities include scheduling home contests, practices, camps, and special events across a diverse array of sports programs. They will also oversee game-day operations and manage associated program activities, ensuring smooth and successful athletic events. Beyond event logistics, this role encompasses the oversight of facilities maintenance, including coordinating repairs, janitorial services, grounds upkeep, lighting schedules, and managing access requests, thereby ensuring the venues remain conducive to both athletes and spectators. Job Duties
- Assist with athletics event management and facilities duties for 19 varsity sport programs and 13 athletics facilities
- Schedule home contests, practices, camps, and special events
- Manage game operations and related program activities associated with sports programs
- Coordinate facility repairs, maintenance, grounds work, janitorial services, and lighting schedules
- Handle access requests, graphics, and other issues related to physical buildings or grounds
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
- Comply with university policies and maintain regular and punctual attendance
