Four Seasons is powered by its people - a diverse and passionate collective devoted to pushing boundaries, continuously improving, and fostering an environment where everyone is treated with kindness and dignity. The company takes pride in its world-class employee experience, recognizing the essential role its team members play in delivering memorable, luxury experiences to guests. Beyond the guest experience, this culture extends to employees, ensuring they are supported, valued, and motivated to succeed.
Located in Houston, Texas, a city that perfectly blends southern hospitality with urban sophistication, Four Seasons Houston offers an exceptional environment where professional ambitions meet a welcoming community. The hotel features upscale amenities such as a rooftop pool oasis, Topgolf Swing Suites for entertainment, a luxurious spa, and exquisite dining experiences with renowned chefs. Guests enjoy the vibrant local culture alongside the comfort and elegance synonymous with the Four Seasons brand.
The Assistant Director of Banquets at Four Seasons Houston is a pivotal role that supports the seamless execution of all banquet and event functions. This full-time position demands a high level of coordination, leadership, and operational expertise, focusing on delivering flawless event experiences that align with the brand's luxury standards. The assistant director collaborates closely with various departments, including Catering, Conference Services, and food and beverage teams, ensuring every detail from setup to service meets guest expectations.
In this role, the successful candidate will oversee banquet operations, controlling expenses through budgeting and inventory management while maintaining quality and timeliness in food service. The position requires strong knowledge of food and beverage service, cost control, labor management, and merchandising, as well as proficiency with relevant computer systems. Leadership skills are crucial as the assistant director will communicate with managers and staff to meet operational needs and foster cooperation across departments.
Candidates for this role should possess a college degree in hotel or restaurant management or equivalent experience, alongside at least two to three years in a supervisory role within banquet operations. Fluency in English—both written and spoken—is essential. Four Seasons values attention to detail, professionalism, and a passion for hospitality that ensures a distinctive and attentive guest experience.
This role comes with competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including training and development opportunities, complimentary accommodation at other Four Seasons properties, uniform dry cleaning, and employee meals. Full-time hours consist of eight to ten-hour shifts with expectations for weekend, holiday, and night availability, supporting the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry.
As an equal opportunity employer, Four Seasons encourages applicants from diverse backgrounds, including minorities, women, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. This commitment reflects the company’s core values of inclusivity and respect, striving to build a workplace where everyone can thrive and contribute to memorable experiences that last a lifetime.
