The Athletic Department at Boise State University plays a vital role in connecting the community and elevating the university's profile through sports and related events. The department emphasizes the holistic development of student-athletes, preparing them to make meaningful contributions beyond their collegiate careers. The commitment to excellence and the spirit of BLUE are central to the department's mission and culture.

Boise State University is seeking a dedicated and highly organized individual to fill the position of Athletics Events Coordinator. This entry-level professional role is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to contribute to the planning and execution of significant events within the Athletic Department. Reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director of Events, the Athletics Events Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating a wide range of athletic department events and external rental activities that take place within the university's athletic facilities.

The role involves managing facility scheduling and calendar maintenance for all departmental facilities, ensuring smooth and efficient use of venues for both internal associations like the Bronco Athletic Association and external users. Key events include high-profile gatherings such as the Bi-Annual Auction, Dinner on the Blue, Hall of Fame Induction, and Lyle Smith Society events among others. The coordinator will work closely with the Bronco Athletic Association to align event logistics with organizational goals and donor expectations.

In addition to event planning and management, the coordinator serves as a hospitality liaison on game days for football and basketball, overseeing both home games and certain away events. Supervising event staff during rental events and ensuring proper facility security and maintenance following events are also essential responsibilities. The position requires working flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to accommodate the scheduling demands of athletic programming and facility usage.

This role offers an excellent pathway for professional growth within the collegiate sports environment. The successful candidate will benefit from structured mentorship and support while engaging in diverse assignments that develop core skills and knowledge in event coordination, customer service, NCAA compliance, and facility management. Boise State University offers a competitive annual salary of $49,732.80 along with a comprehensive benefits package that supports employee well-being and professional development. Benefits include paid holidays, a generous vacation allowance, strong retirement contributions for both ORP and PERSI plans, extensive health-related insurance coverage, and tuition fee waivers for employees and their families.

This position suits individuals who thrive in dynamic settings, are customer-service oriented, and possess strong communication and organizational skills.
