The Assistant Dining Supervisor role at Grand Living is a critical position focused on enhancing the overall dining experience for residents. This full-time role involves providing leadership, culinary training, and oversight to dining staff, ensuring that all meals served across various venues meet the high standards that Grand Living is known for. These venues include Bistro, Casual Dining, Formal settings, Luminations® memory care dining, and the Club Room, as well as special events and private functions. The Assistant Dining Supervisor applies The Sterling Touch® service philosophy, emphasizing professionalism, friendliness, courtesy, helpfulness, and timely service to achieve superior satisfaction among residents and their guests. Operating under the guidance of the Dining Manager, this position is geared towards upholding community standards, implementing established procedures, and contributing to a positive dining environment. The Assistant Dining Supervisor must be a skilled leader who inspires excellence in their team, ensures compliance with culinary and service standards, and helps create memorable culinary experiences that resonate with Grand Living's residents’ expectations.

Job Requirements
- Three or more years of food and beverage experience in country club, fine dining, restaurant, or upscale senior living hospitality
- High school diploma or GED required
- Any combination of education, training, or experience equivalent to high school graduation
- Culinary or Apprenticeship program preferred
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Manual dexterity to use kitchen equipment
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull without extended sitting periods
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Three or more years of experience in food and beverage within country club, fine dining, restaurant, or upscale senior living hospitality environment
- Ability to read, write and understand English for communication and staff management
- Culinary or Apprenticeship program preferred
- Experience in using kitchen equipment and utensils proficiently
- Strong leadership and team management skills
Job Duties
- Enhance the overall resident dining experience through exceptional oversight and culinary training to dining staff employees
- Uphold service standards of all menu offerings across multiple dining venues including Bistro, Casual, Formal, Luminations® memory care, and Club Room
- Assist in the delivery of culinary activities for special events and private functions
- Maintain The Sterling Touch® professional, friendly, courteous, helpful and timely service style
- Work under the general guidance of the Dining Manager following community standards, processes, procedures, and philosophies
- Manage kitchen staff by directing, hiring, training, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards
- Communicate effectively with residents, guests, and other employees to ensure satisfaction and smooth dining operations
