The available role is for a Product Sales Specialist Trainer, an essential position responsible for training and developing Product Sales Specialists to deliver exceptional customer service and in-depth product knowledge. This role serves as a key point of contact between customers and the store, ensuring a positive shopping experience through professional guidance. The position is hourly with a pay range of $22.15 to $35.25 per hour, reflecting the importance of leadership skills and retail expertise needed.
In this role, the trainer will not only provide firsthand coaching but will also uphold the company's core retail principles referred to as the basic P's of retail – including People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, and Purchasing. The ideal candidate will be highly communicative, able to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced retail environment, and dedicated to maintaining compliance with safe work practices. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate merchandising, organizing product displays, and supporting smooth operations from inventory handling to POS transactions.
Further, the role demands proficiency in forklift operation and certification, the capability to lead 'how-to' product classes for customers, and handling complex customer service issues such as refunds and exchanges professionally. The work environment is dynamic, involving frequent interaction within a warehouse setting with exposure to moving vehicles and varying noise levels. Physically, the role requires the ability to lift and handle merchandise safely and efficiently. The position demands a commitment to the company's safety protocols and retail operational standards.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year of customer service or sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent communication skills verbal and written
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties
- Act and work in a manner that is consistent with companys core values
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding and compliance with the companys safe lifting practices standard operating procedures
- Demonstrate the ability to drive and teach the company philosophy around the basic Ps of retail including People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing
- Provide direction to all product sales specialists to ensure a highly attentive and accurate level of customer service
- Complete all product specialist certification courses
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of merchandise and installation
- Ensure the overall merchandising, pricing and organization of the department
- Communicate standard operating procedure direction and changes to all associates in a timely manner
- Complete the Industrial Truck (forklift) proficiency testing and certification
- Communicate inventory needs to management
- Direct and assist the processing of merchandise to the showroom floor
- Validate all product placement and pricing within the department
- Greet every customer in a helpful and courteous manner
- Assist customers with product questions and selections
- Process customers at check-out using the point of sale (POS) system
- Process customer refunds and exchanges according to established guidelines
- Present how-to classes to customers
- Follow established cash, check and charge card acceptance procedures
- Answer the telephone according to accepted guidelines
- Stock and tag merchandise displays as required
- Create price tags and merchandise signs
