The company has built its brand on delivering fresh and diverse grocery options, including specialty departments such as deli and seafood, to meet and exceed customer expectations. Employees enjoy a supportive atmosphere that not only values individual contributions but also offers clear opportunities for career advancement, making Dierbergs a desirable place to work for individuals seeking a meaningful role within a stable and successful organization.

As an Assistant Deli/Seafood Manager at Dierbergs, you will take an essential role in the daily operations of the deli and seafood department. Your role includes overseeing the training, development, and motivation of associates to foster a productive, high-performing team committed to delivering excellent customer experiences.

In this position, you will be directly involved in preparing and selling signature foods, such as rotisserie and smoked meats, sliced cheeses, and a diverse variety of seafood items. Inventory management, ordering supplies, and ensuring the department remains clean and sanitary in compliance with food safety regulations will also be among your responsibilities. With a strong focus on food-handling procedures and safety, you will help guarantee that every product meets the company's rigorous quality standards.

The Assistant Deli/Seafood Manager will provide friendly and knowledgeable service to customers, helping to promote a welcoming atmosphere in the department. The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and varying shifts, typically ending by 8 pm, which supports a healthy work-life balance. This position is ideal for individuals with at least one year of food-service experience, preferably with some supervisory responsibility, and who thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong multitasking and adaptative skills. Basic computer proficiency, including the use of iPads for customer orders and associate training, is also required.

Joining Dierbergs means you are not just accepting a job but becoming part of a team that values its people through comprehensive benefits like health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and associate-exclusive perks. With opportunities for growth into Department Manager or store management roles, this position offers a promising pathway for career advancement. If you are eager to develop your management skills in a thriving retail environment and deliver exceptional food service, the Assistant Deli/Seafood Manager role at Dierbergs offers an excellent opportunity to grow and succeed.
