The Assistant Coordinator, Venue Operations role offers an opportunity to be a vital part of the game-day and event-day experience by managing the physical setup and conversion of the venue. This part-time position provides flexible hours ranging from 0 to 29 per week, depending on scheduled events and games. The Assistant Coordinator will support event setups and changeovers, which include installing and removing retractable seating, stages, furniture, and other necessary equipment to ensure seamless transitions between events. Working closely with the Venue Operations team, the successful candidate will contribute to the efficient functioning and upkeep of the facility.
This position requires physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and moving large equipment and operating assembly tools such as forklifts and pallet jacks. The role demands attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in time-sensitive settings while maintaining safety and professionalism. It also involves teamwork, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Ability to perform assembly and setup functions under limited supervision
- Ability to do repeated lifting, bending, standing, squatting, pushing, and pulling
- Working knowledge of assembly operations equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, wrenches, hammers, drills, impact wrenches, allen wrenches, and screwdrivers
- Ability to meet deadlines and function efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to work with a team and maintain a professional attitude and appearance
- Ability to lift, push, pull, kneel, or move approximately 75 lbs
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Capability to work in physically demanding environments including stairs, ramps, and elevated platforms
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in all weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Ability to speak and understand English
- Valid driver license
- Lift/forklift certification is a plus but not required
- Certification may be provided during employment if necessary
Job Duties
- Assist with event setups and changeovers including tables, flooring, and portable seating
- Perform facility operational tasks on event days including storage of equipment, furniture, and tools
- Identify and report damaged equipment
- Maintain cleanliness of the facility
- Support the team dynamic by assisting coworkers and fostering a positive work environment
- Operate assembly and event setup equipment as required
- Ensure timely and safe execution of venue conversion tasks
