Job Requirements
- Enrollment in DCYF background check system
- valid WA Food Handlers Card
- completion of Washington State HIV/Blood Borne Pathogens training
- negative tuberculosis test within the previous 12 months
- documented immunity to measles, mumps, and rubella
- access to a legally licensed personal motor vehicle
- compliance with agency health and safety requirements
Job Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- valid Oregon or Washington State driver’s license with no recent suspensions
- proof of automobile insurance as required by Washington State law
- ability to work effectively within a team
- ability to follow directions and complete tasks efficiently
- ability to manage a fast-paced, interruptive environment while maintaining focus on children
- regular attendance and punctuality
- professional demeanor and positive attitude
- understanding and appreciation of diverse ethnic and economic backgrounds
- interest in professional development
Job Duties
- Prepare and deliver nutritious meals and snacks safely within the childcare center
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and food preparation areas regularly
- Maintain accurate records of food preparation and delivery following USDA and CACFP guidelines
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal food service regulations
- Collaborate with team members to support child-led programming and maintain positive working relationships
- Manage delivery routes efficiently and ensure timely meal service
- Participate in occasional in-service meetings and professional development events as required
