Job Description
Seattle Marriott Waterfront is a premier hotel located in the heart of Seattle, Washington, offering guests luxurious accommodations and exceptional services. As part of Marriott International, a global leader in the hospitality industry, the Seattle Marriott Waterfront prides itself on delivering wonderful hospitality experiences to travelers and visitors. The hotel boasts stunning views of the waterfront, modern amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere that caters to both leisure and business guests. Marriott International is renowned for its commitment to quality, innovation, and inclusivity, fostering an environment where employees can thrive, grow, and contribute to the company's success.
The company is currently seeking a dedicated and personable Part-Time Guest Services Associate to join its Rooms and Guest Services Operations team at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront location. This non-management position offers a competitive pay rate of $23.33 per hour and is ideal for individuals who enjoy interacting with guests, resolving inquiries, and facilitating smooth service operations during the evening shift. The role is based onsite with no remote work options.
As a Guest Services Associate at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront, the primary responsibilities include responding promptly to guest requests for various special arrangements such as transportation, reservations, and dry cleaning services. You will be the essential liaison ensuring guests' unique needs are met satisfactorily, elevating their overall stay experience. The associate will provide detailed information about the hotel amenities and local attractions to enhance guest engagement and satisfaction.
Handling all guest calls, messages, questions, or concerns professionally and efficiently is a core part of this role, ensuring every interaction is positive and helpful. You will coordinate with other hotel departments such as Bell Services and Housekeeping to swiftly address customer requests or resolve any problems that arise. Maintaining accurate and detailed records through shift logs and daily memos is crucial to ensure seamless communication and service continuity.
The Guest Services Associate also plays a vital role in monitoring the club lounge to guarantee guest safety, adequate seating availability, and excellent service quality. You will be actively involved in observing and reporting any accidents, injuries, or safety hazards to management, underscoring the hotel’s commitment to a safe environment for both guests and staff.
Furthermore, you will embody the values of Marriott by welcoming and acknowledging guests warmly, anticipating their needs, assisting those with disabilities, and demonstrating genuine appreciation throughout every encounter. Clear and professional communication, both verbal and written, is essential to this role, alongside adherence to company policies, personal appearance standards, and confidentiality requirements.
The position requires physical capabilities such as standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and the ability to move objects weighing up to 10 pounds. This supportive role is vital in upholding Marriott's high standards of guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
The Seattle Marriott Waterfront, and Marriott International by extension, are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace that celebrates diversity and ensures non-discrimination. The company provides employees with extensive benefits, including a 401(k) plan, stock purchase options, commuter benefits, childcare discounts, and an employee assistance program. While this part-time role includes sick leave accrual and holiday eligibility, full-time employees have access to additional benefits such as medical, dental, vision coverage, life and disability insurance, paid parental leave, and educational assistance.
Joining Marriott Hotels means becoming part of a globally respected brand that values leadership, innovation, and exceptional service quality. Employees are invited to be where they can do their best work, begin their purpose, belong to an amazing global team, and become the best version of themselves. This opportunity at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront offers an enriching career path where you can develop your skills in a vibrant hospitality environment and contribute to Marriott's legacy of wonderful hospitality, always.
