At Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio, home to Major League Baseball's Cleveland Guardians, Delaware North has been the trusted concessions and premium dining provider since 1994, managing a 35,041-seat venue with a focus on quality, service, and team culture.
Delaware North’s approach revolves around building an inclusive and engaging work environment where employees are valued and supported in their personal and professional growth. Recognized for offering substantial career opportunities across hospitality sectors, Delaware North emphasizes employee development, competitive compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package.
The role of Assistant Concessions Manager at Progressive Field is a key leadership position within Delaware North’s food service operations. Reporting to the Concessions Manager, this role requires a motivated and experienced professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and fostering a positive workplace culture. The Assistant Concessions Manager plays a vital role in managing daily concession operations across multiple locations within the stadium, ensuring that service runs smoothly during games and events.
This position demands strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to effectively coordinate team members as well as external groups such as non-profit organizations who collaborate at the venue. The Assistant Concessions Manager is responsible for assisting with hiring, onboarding, and training new employees, reinforcing company policies and standards, and upholding compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations. Additionally, this role involves overseeing financial reporting, reconciling discrepancies, and supporting inventory management processes to maintain operational efficiency.
Ideal candidates will possess managerial or supervisory experience in food service, with a preference for concessions background. Knowledge of health and safety standards, ability to obtain ServSafe and other relevant certifications, and proficiency with computer applications including point of sale systems are essential. Flexibility in scheduling to meet the demands of game days, events, and peak periods is a critical component of the role.
The Assistant Concessions Manager position offers a competitive annual salary range of $43,888 to $54,100, complemented by an annual bonus plan or an uncapped sales incentive based on individual and company performance. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k) with company match, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and more, reflecting Delaware North’s commitment to the well-being and advancement of its workforce.
Joining Delaware North means becoming part of a global legacy dedicated to shaping the future of hospitality by delivering outstanding experiences in iconic settings.
