Delaware North's operations at the KeyBank Center, a 19,200-seat arena, include overseeing multiple concession outlets, luxurious suites, exclusive clubs, and a members-only fine dining restaurant. With over 100 years of history as a family-owned company, Delaware North exemplifies a global legacy in hospitality, providing exceptional service and unique experiences to millions of guests across various iconic venues including sports arenas, national parks, casinos, hotels, and retail establishments.

The Assistant Concessions Manager role at Delaware North Sportservice presents an exciting opportunity for professionals eager to contribute to a dynamic team environment dedicated to excellence in guest service and operational efficiency. Offered at a competitive salary of $62,354 per year, this full-time position includes additional compensation via an annual bonus plan or an uncapped sales incentive plan based on individual, company, and location performance. Candidates with exceptional education, training, or experience may be considered for higher pay under special circumstances. Beyond base pay, Delaware North provides a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid vacation and holidays, parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and generous discounts at affiliated hotels and resorts.

As the Assistant Concessions Manager at KeyBank Center, your primary responsibility will be to collaborate closely with the Concessions Manager to oversee all concession operations within the venue. A key part of the position involves coordinating efforts among team members and community organizations to maximize operational effectiveness and foster a positive work culture. You will assist in hiring, training, and mentoring new team members to align with Delaware North's commitment to excellence and compliance with industry regulations.

In this capacity, you will be expected to monitor strict adherence to all relevant food safety, alcohol service, sanitation, payroll, financial protocols, and employment laws to guarantee guest safety and organizational integrity. Financial responsibilities will include overseeing cash handling, resolving discrepancies, and supporting inventory management efforts to maintain operational control. Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and point of sale systems is essential for success in this role.

The ideal candidate brings at least one year of managerial or supervisory experience in the food service industry, preferably within concessions, and demonstrates strong communication, organizational, and time management skills. Flexibility in working hours to meet the demands of business fluctuations is also required. Certifications such as ServSafe, Food Safety Handler, or Training for Intervention Procedures are highly desirable or obtainable through the role.

Joining Delaware North means becoming part of a team that values personal and professional growth, diversity, and inclusion. The company embraces equal opportunity employment and a supportive environment where employees are encouraged to develop their careers in a wide range of hospitality sectors. Whether your interests lie in sports, gaming, restaurants, hotels, or retail, Delaware North offers you a chance to thrive in great places and be part of creating memorable experiences for guests worldwide.
