Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Minimum two years experience as an Assistant Community Manager or higher
- Affordable Housing experience preferred
- Proficiency with property management software, Entrada preferred
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work predominantly indoors with occasional outdoor duties
- Physical ability to inspect properties including climbing stairs
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Availability for emergency response 24/7
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to transfer between properties and work overtime
- Compensation range $31 to $39 per hour plus bonuses
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent from accredited institution
- Two or more years prior experience as an Assistant Community Manager or above
- Affordable Housing experience strongly preferred
- Experience with property management software, preferably Entrada
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of basic accounting practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work indoors approximately 95 percent of the time and outdoors 5 percent of the time
- Ability to use olfactory, auditory, and visual senses for property inspection and emergency alarm detection
- Ability to perform physical inspections of the property including climbing stairs or accessing restrictive openings
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Availability for 24-hour emergency accessibility and on-site operations management during emergencies
- Willingness to transfer properties and work overtime as business needs require
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Complete daily financial transactions and tasks including rent collection, fees, payment posting, daily bank deposits, bank reconciliations, financial report preparation, and invoice processing
- Review resident files and accounting records, communicate regarding outstanding balances, implement delinquency collection procedures, and enforce lease terms to maximize revenue
- Support the Affordable Housing Program
- Follow established procedures for evictions, including notice requirements, resident eviction, and court representation
- Review and submit vendor, contractor, and service provider invoices for payment by reconciling work or products received
- Process resident move-outs with lease term and notice compliance
- Promote resident satisfaction and retention by addressing complaints, questions, and service issues promptly
- Act as on-site supervisor in the Community Manager’s absence, organizing daily work and coordinating maintenance activities
- Assist in managing client/owner relationships through meetings, community tours, performance updates, and responsiveness to owner requests
