Job Description

This position is offered within a prominent hospitality company dedicated to providing exceptional guest experiences through meticulous maintenance and sustainability standards. The company operates a well-maintained hotel that prioritizes both guest satisfaction and environmental responsibility under their EarthView program. The hotel environment is dynamic and demanding, ensuring that both the physical infrastructure and guest services consistently meet high standards. Employees are valued as core contributors to the brand's success, with a strong focus on teamwork, professional growth, and safety. The role is an hourly position compensated at $30.00 per hour, offering a clear potential career path leading to Chief Engineer, Area Chief Engineer, and eventually Regional Director of Engineering roles.

The role centers around performing general maintenance functions critical to upholding guest service excellence and operational sustainability throughout the hotel structure. Working closely alongside the Chief Engineer, the individual will assist in interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, coaching, and supporting team members to maintain brand and hotel standards aligned with the company’s core values. Maintenance includes conducting room inspections to determine repair needs, installing or repairing sheet rock and wall coverings, painting, replacing electrical fixtures, and programming televisions. Minor plumbing tasks, HVAC pump servicing, and kitchen equipment troubleshooting are integral responsibilities. Preventative maintenance is conducted systematically with accurate record-keeping of all performed work. Maintaining the hotel aesthetics, including exterior upkeep and refurbishing furniture, is equally important to preserve curb appeal and overall guest satisfaction. Testing and maintaining life safety systems is a critical duty to ensure operational safety and compliance with local, state, and federal codes. The role necessitates a consistent commitment to guest satisfaction improvement, sustainable operational practices, and strict adherence to safety standards including OSHA and MSDS. This position requires physical stamina due to the nature of maintenance work, which involves lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods, often during varied schedules including holidays and weekends. Overall, this maintenance role is ideal for a skilled, dedicated individual eager to develop their engineering career within a supportive and excellence-driven hospitality environment.
