Assistant Chief Engineer

Working closely alongside the Chief Engineer, the individual will assist in interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, coaching, and supporting team members to maintain brand and hotel standards aligned with the company’s core values. Maintenance includes conducting room inspections to determine repair needs, installing or repairing sheet rock and wall coverings, painting, replacing electrical fixtures, and programming televisions. Minor plumbing tasks, HVAC pump servicing, and kitchen equipment troubleshooting are integral responsibilities. Preventative maintenance is conducted systematically with accurate record-keeping of all performed work. Maintaining the hotel aesthetics, including exterior upkeep and refurbishing furniture, is equally important to preserve curb appeal and overall guest satisfaction. Testing and maintaining life safety systems is a critical duty to ensure operational safety and compliance with local, state, and federal codes. The role necessitates a consistent commitment to guest satisfaction improvement, sustainable operational practices, and strict adherence to safety standards including OSHA and MSDS.
