Job Requirements
- Must have at least 4 years of relevant experience in high volume pastry production
- Minimum 2 years supervisory experience
- Ability to effectively communicate in English
- Culinary or pastry training degree preferred
- Knowledge of sanitation and cost control measures
- Ability to train and manage kitchen staff
- Must obtain and maintain all necessary work permits or licenses
- Capable of working efficiently in a team
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to communicate, read and write in English fluently and professionally
- Knowledge of a second language is a plus
- Minimum 4 years experience in a high volume, high quality pastry production kitchen
- At least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Banquet and catering pastry training degree preferred
- Culinary/pastry training degree preferred but not required
- Advanced knowledge of pastries, desserts, sanitation and cost control
- Ability to manage all aspects of a pastry operation
- Ability to work efficiently within a team environment
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any required licensing or work cards at all times
Job Duties
- Support the Executive Chef in all aspects of cost control
- Complete inventories and food requisitions
- Manage and train kitchen staff
- Support Chef de Parties and cooks when necessary
- Supervise the production of pastries and desserts for outlets
- Ensure food quality according to department standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment in compliance with Health Department standards
