Job Duties

  • ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures and policies
  • lead training initiatives
  • provide performance feedback
  • foster open communication among team members
  • set daily priorities and delegate preparation tasks to the kitchen staff
  • design daily specials in collaboration with the executive chef
  • review banquet event orders to accommodate any changes accordingly
  • communicate effectively with the team both verbally and in writing to ensure clarity and efficiency
  • conduct daily inventory checks of food supplies
  • order necessary supplies ensuring correct storage and quality upon receipt
  • collaborate with the steward to assess equipment needs and review cleaning schedules while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
