Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of kitchen experience preferred
- Must have good physical and mental health
- Must possess upbeat, positive, flexible and enthusiastic personality
- Must be congenial with fellow team members, residents and general public
- Must be honest, dependable and exhibit unwavering integrity
- Must maintain proper hygiene
- Must be professional in dress and presentation
- Must be willing to be active and on feet during entire workday
- Must be able to effectively communicate in standard English verbally and in writing
- Must be capable of following oral and written instructions
- Must have ability to use own judgment and initiate daily activities
- Must be mature individual
- Must possess ability to multitask in fast-paced environment and change assignments on short notice
- Must have strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Must be detail and teamwork oriented
- Must attend required in-services and workshops to further education of skills and community requirements
- Must be drug free and submit to drug screening upon hire and randomly
- Must pass criminal background check upon hire unless possess valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance card
- Must maintain integrity of American Care Concepts
- Must have ability to lift, push or pull 40lbs or more
- Must have ability to bend, stoop, kneel and reach
- Must be able to stand on feet for minimum of 8 hours at a time

Job Duties
- Coordinate and conduct overall dining experience and nutrition of residents
- Communicate and connect with residents to learn their dining tastes and preferences
- Provide alternate meal choices for each meal according to residents tastes and preferences
- Adhere to all county health codes and earn excellent rating at inspections
- Comply with all Arizona Department of Health Services regulations
- Meet residents special diet needs such as diabetics, mechanical soft, food allergies
- Follow the posted weekly menus
- Collaborate with the Culinary Executive Director on requisition of products and food supplies
- Ensure high standards of sanitation, cleanliness and safety in kitchen and dining room
- Establish controls to minimize food and supply waste and prevent employee theft
- Utilize knowledge about safety, sanitation and accident prevention principles in food preparation
- Adhere to standard recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation
- Consult with the Culinary Executive Director regarding food production and special events
- Cook or supervise cooking of items requiring skillful preparation
- Evaluate food products to ensure quality standards are consistently met
- Interact with Culinary Executive Director to consistently exceed expectations of residents and family members
- Adhere to cleaning and maintenance schedules for all kitchen areas and equipment
- Utilize locally sourced and organic food whenever possible
- Create a positive work environment encouraging creative problem solving and job satisfaction
- Develop a strong team culture fostering interdepartmental cooperation
- Demonstrate exemplary attitude, work ethic and integrity
- Lead with a servant-leadership style that is inspirational and compassionate
- Contribute to an incredible customer experience
- Assist in training and providing insight to team members for positive customer interactions
- Help team members maintain positive attitudes and respectful treatment of others
- Generate revenue to meet and exceed business goals
- Minimize expenses by managing payroll and supply budgets

- Adhere to scheduled hours, take required breaks and obtain approvals for overtime
