Job Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of restaurant or cheesemonger experience preferred
- Possession of a current Food Handler’s Permit
- Availability to work weekends, evenings and holidays
- Ability to accept constructive review and work collaboratively
- Must possess strong communication skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to handle cheese products and work in varying store temperature conditions
- Must be mission-driven and demonstrate integrity and a positive attitude
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED

- Ability and willingness to learn about cheese, pairings, and cooking techniques

Job Duties
- Follows established departmental and store policies and procedures
- Ensures the quality and freshness of all products and services in the specialty cheese department
- Maintains department cleanliness and sanitation daily to company standards
- Assists with maintaining product assortment and inventory levels
- Confirms pricing accuracy and signage for all products
- Delivers excellent customer service
- Orders products and creates production sheets based on sales data
- Cuts, wraps, shreds, and packages cheeses for sale
- Samples and sells cheeses and products to customers
- Produces fresh mozzarella, parmesan crisps, and other specialty items
- Stocks and sets up olive bar and oil station
- Determines pre-cut cheese packaging quantities
- Manages inventory and ordering for cheese island
- Sets a professional and positive example for others
- Communicates regularly with Store Director, Cheese Buyer, and support staff
- Provides feedback to associates on performance
- Slices meats and cheeses to order and assists with special orders
- Maintains company standards for safety, sanitation, service, and productivity
- Conducts quarterly inventory of specialty cheese products
