Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to ascertain and understand facility operations and related problems and provide appropriate solutions
  • Ability to make decisions and act effectively in stressful situations
  • Ability to work under stress, adapt quickly to changing situations, and meet last-minute demands effectively
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel for data entry and record keeping

Job Duties

  • Oversees facility while on duty and ensures safety and security of Hammer Center staff and patrons
  • Makes periodic rounds checking to be certain those using the facility have proper authorization
  • Conducts facility inspections, matches event needs with the facilities services and confirms pre-event preparations and arrangements
  • Reports any problems to the Director and/or ORU Security to handle
  • Assists patrons with equipment needs
  • access to rooms, etc. based on the class schedule or requisition sheets
  • Enforces all building policies and adherence to the same
  • Ensures student workers are aware of and follow all policies and procedures
