Job Description
Resorts World Las Vegas is an esteemed luxury resort and casino located on the vibrant Las Vegas Strip, renowned for its world-class amenities, exceptional customer service, and a commitment to creating memorable experiences for every guest. As a premier destination for entertainment, dining, and relaxation, Resorts World Las Vegas boasts an innovative blend of modern design and cutting-edge technology, providing both guests and employees with a dynamic and engaging environment. The resort emphasizes a culture of respect, responsibility, and excellence, encouraging team members to embody the company's five core non-negotiable responsibilities: treating the property like their own home, maintaining a safe and secure environment, ensuring cleanliness, and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
The Apprentice Bartender position at Resorts World Las Vegas is an entry-level role designed for individuals eager to develop their skills in bartending while contributing to a high-energy and customer-focused atmosphere. The role involves supporting the bartending team by maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring stock levels are adequate, and assisting in the preparation of bar ingredients. An Apprentice Bartender acts as the first point of contact at the bar, greeting and welcoming guests with professionalism and courtesy, setting the tone for an exceptional customer experience.
This position requires a proactive approach to anticipating guest needs and responding promptly with a sense of urgency. The Apprentice Bartender will perform critical operational functions such as replenishing ice, garnishes, straws, and napkins, ensuring all bar equipment is properly cleaned and maintained, and assisting in inventory management. The role also involves undertaking opening and closing duties for the bar based on shift assignments, fostering a disciplined work routine that highlights punctuality, personal appearance, and hygiene.
Training and personal development are integral components of this role, with opportunities to learn and obtain necessary position-specific licensing. Team members are encouraged to engage in various resort activities, including promotional events, banquet services, and marketing campaigns, which may involve modeling and presenting duties. The role suits individuals who are at least 21 years old, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate a polished appearance and customer service aptitude.
Physically, the Apprentice Bartender must be prepared to work in an outdoor bar environment with tolerance for varying noise levels, temperature extremes, and air quality. The job demands prolonged periods of standing and walking, frequent bending and reaching, and the ability to lift and maneuver items up to 50 pounds. Safety, security, and guest experience are paramount, with all team members expected to uphold the company’s policies, respond to safety and security concerns, and contribute to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
In summary, the Apprentice Bartender role at Resorts World Las Vegas offers a comprehensive introduction to bartending within a luxury resort setting. The position is ideal for motivated individuals seeking to build foundational skills in the hospitality industry while contributing to a team that values excellence, safety, and outstanding guest service. Employment is typically full-time with the potential for varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, aligning with the dynamic nature of the hospitality sector.
