The role of Bar Assistant Manager at MGM Resorts International centers on operational excellence within the bar departments of the resort. Job Requirements

  • 21+ years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of prior relevant experience
  • Supervisory experience in beverage or an equivalent F&B supervisory position
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Associate's degree (F&B or Culinary Arts) preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the department
  • Direct smooth, efficient, cost-effective operation, including labor management, supervision of all aspects of services, scheduling and inventory control
  • Manage delivery and measurement of guest service within assigned department(s) consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes
  • Provide management support in the oversight of assigned shift to ensure the delivery of quality service to the guests
  • Coordinate the requisition process and stocking of beverage outlets to maximize revenue for the division
  • Provide guidance and counsel to beverage employees, ensure the staff is scheduled properly
  • Provide recommendations to management on daily operational issues
