Located in a beautifully maintained and scenic environment, the club is known for its top-tier golfing facilities, outstanding hospitality, and dynamic event hosting capabilities. As part of Troon, a globally recognized leader in golf club management, Ed Oliver Golf Club upholds high standards of customer service, event management, and operational excellence. With a strong commitment to creating memorable experiences, the club strives to meet the diverse needs of its clientele, ranging from avid golfers to event hosts planning weddings, banquets, and corporate gatherings.
The Assistant Banquet Sales Coordinator role at Ed Oliver Golf Club offers a unique opportunity to join a vibrant team where your contribution directly impacts the success of the club’s event operations and client satisfaction. This position is part-time, offering 20 hours per week with an hourly wage of $20, ideal for individuals seeking flexible work schedules that include weekend and evening hours based on business demands. As the Assistant Banquet Sales Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in providing exemplary customer service by assisting clients with event planning, conducting facility tours, and serving as a trusted advisor to help clients bring their event visions to life. You will be responsible for answering phone calls and managing communications through emails and voicemails to ensure prompt and professional client interaction.
In addition to client engagement, you will assist in developing customized client proposals and contracts, maintain detailed records of sales activities and client contacts within the club’s CRM system, and support event operations by preparing banquet event orders (BEOs) and conveying essential event information to the culinary and service teams. Moreover, you will process banquet-related transactions through the club’s point-of-sale system, contributing to seamless event execution and customer satisfaction. Previous experience in sales, food and beverage, or banquet services is preferred, offering a solid foundation in understanding the event dynamics and client interaction needed for the role.
This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal communication, and the ability to multitask and adapt within a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and preferably hold a Food Handlers Card or certification. Physical demands include regular standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, highlighting the active nature of this role. With an emphasis on teamwork and delivering high-quality service, Ed Oliver Golf Club provides a supportive work environment where employees can thrive and expand their skills in event coordination and hospitality management. This role is an excellent career stepping stone for those passionate about sales and event coordination within the hospitality industry, particularly in a distinguished golf club setting.
