With over 7,000 properties worldwide, Marriott offers travelers exceptional experiences through its diverse portfolio of brands that cater to a wide range of preferences and needs. Among these brands is JW Marriott, a luxury collection that upholds a legacy of sophistication, exceptional service, and cultural richness. JW Marriott hotels are located in gateway cities and distinctive resort locations, reflecting the brand’s emphasis on delivering personalized guest experiences and fostering associate well-being.

Located at 540 N Michigan Ave in Chicago, Illinois, this position is part of the JW Marriott luxury portfolio, promising an environment that combines a dedication to hospitality excellence with a supportive workplace culture. The company embraces diversity and inclusion, fostering a non-discriminatory and empowering environment for all associates. The focus on associate satisfaction translates into outstanding guest service, driven by a philosophy known as The JW Treatment™, which emphasizes authentic care, holistic well-being, and professional development.

This full-time, management-level role within the Event Management category offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $28.37 to $38.46, with eligibility for bonuses. The successful candidate will work closely with team members to uphold strict standards and operational procedures, ensuring every event runs smoothly and exceeds guest expectations. Duties include assisting in managing inventories, monitoring sanitation levels, scheduling staff, and reinforcing policies and safety protocols.

This position requires a hands-on leader who participates actively in event servicing while fostering staff performance through coaching and feedback. The candidate will also be responsible for maintaining attendance logs, assisting with supply orders, and contributing to the control of banquet beverage costs. A deep understanding of banquet operations’ impact on event success and customer satisfaction is essential.

In addition to operational responsibilities, this role emphasizes exceptional customer service. The manager will engage directly with guests to solicit feedback and handle any service challenges with professionalism and care. Empowering the team to deliver top-notch service and striving for continuous improvement are core aspects of the role.

Human resource responsibilities include supporting orientation programs, ensuring employees understand expectations, providing ongoing feedback, reviewing guest satisfaction results, and reinforcing safety training. This comprehensive approach to team leadership fosters a culture of excellence and accountability.

By joining Marriott International and the JW Marriott brand, candidates become part of a global team committed to nurturing associate growth and ensuring every guest experience is wonderful, always. The organization offers numerous benefits and development opportunities designed to support physical, emotional, and professional well-being.
