Job Description

Riverfront Events is a premier hospitality company renowned for creating unforgettable celebrations and exceptional experiences. Located along picturesque waterfronts, Riverfront Events offers a unique blend of elegance and charm tailored to events ranging from sophisticated weddings and corporate galas to lively celebrations and special occasions. Their commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction has positioned them as a top choice for clients looking to host memorable moments that last a lifetime. As part of the esteemed Atlas Restaurant Group, Riverfront Events benefits from a well-established reputation, a culture of innovation, and a dedication to growth and development within the hospitality industry.

The role of Assistant Banquet Manager at Riverfront Events is a dynamic and hands-on leadership position designed for someone who thrives in a fast-paced and guest-focused environment. This position involves close collaboration with the Banquet Manager to oversee daily banquet operations ensuring that every event runs flawlessly from start to finish. The Assistant Banquet Manager plays a critical role in motivating and guiding the banquet team, fostering a culture of high performance, professionalism, and outstanding service standards.

As an Assistant Banquet Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a diverse range of events including breakfast, lunch, dinner services, weddings, and corporate events. You will lead banquet shifts, work directly with your team to deliver exceptional service, and serve as the primary point of contact for hosts and event planners in the absence of the Banquet Manager. Your knack for anticipating guest needs and addressing concerns with professionalism will elevate guest experiences and build lasting client relationships. The role also involves scheduling staff according to business needs while managing labor goals, monitoring banquet inventory and equipment, and partnering with culinary teams to ensure smooth event execution.

Besides operational duties, this role emphasizes leadership development. You will coach, train, and nurture banquet team members to enhance their skills and contribute to a positive workplace culture. Reinforcing company standards in food safety, sanitation, and procedural compliance is key. Additionally, you will actively participate in departmental meetings, service reviews, and continuous improvement efforts to drive efficiencies and exceed guest expectations.

Joining Riverfront Events offers more than just a job; it’s an opportunity to be part of a culture that values hospitality as more than service but as craft, culture, and a way to create moments that matter. You will be empowered by Atlas Restaurant Group’s support system, which provides competitive compensation aligned with experience and leadership scope, comprehensive health and wellness benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, and a 401(k) investment plan. The company also offers fully paid life and AD&D insurance, paid parental leave, ongoing learning and leadership development programs, career advancement opportunities, pet insurance options, and generous dining discounts across their properties.

Working at Riverfront Events means joining a collaborative environment where leadership is defined by impact and contribution rather than titles. The company’s core values of Excellence, Trust, Responsibility, Professionalism, Teamwork, Community, and Uniqueness guide everyday operations and strategic initiatives. This role is perfect for someone passionate about the hospitality industry, eager to inspire teams, and committed to delivering exceptional event experiences that guests and clients remember fondly.
