Job Description

The Murfreesboro Embassy Suites, located at 1200 Conference Center Boulevard in Murfreesboro, TN, is a prominent full-service hotel that prides itself on providing exceptional hospitality and event experiences to its guests. This hotel offers a blend of comfort, convenience, and professional service, serving both business and leisure travelers. As part of the Atrium Hospitality group, the hotel is committed to fostering a welcoming environment that emphasizes the values of Service, Perseverance, Inclusion, Respect, Innovation, and Teamwork (SPIRIT). This commitment ensures that every guest enjoys a memorable stay, supported by a dedicated team focused on delivering outstanding service.

The Embassy Suites in Murfreesboro is currently seeking a skilled Banquet Supervisor for their dynamic team. This full-time role offers competitive compensation ranging from $19.25 to $20.21 per hour, with actual pay being influenced by experience, skills, qualifications, and location specifics. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that banquet and social events, such as meetings, weddings, and corporate functions, are executed flawlessly. The Banquet Supervisor is responsible for leading the banquet operations, coordinating with vendors and various departments, managing inventory and schedules, and maintaining high service standards throughout events.

As a Banquet Supervisor, you will be integral to the success of the hotel's event services. This role includes executing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) with precision, ensuring seamless transitions from event setup to completion. You will supervise and support banquet staff, making sure side work is completed on time, service remains polished, and staff morale is consistently high. Additionally, you'll have opportunities to step in for the Banquet Manager when necessary, assisting with hiring, training, and providing leadership to the team. The role demands a combination of leadership skills, hospitality knowledge, and a hands-on approach to managing busy event environments.

Joining the Murfreesboro Embassy Suites means becoming part of an organization that values career growth and learning, with 40% of management positions filled by internal promotions. Employees benefit from comprehensive health coverage options, including medical, dental, and vision insurance. There is also a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off, vacation benefits, exclusive discount programs, wellness initiatives, tuition reimbursement, and community service opportunities.

The role is suited for candidates with prior leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in hospitality, who can navigate the fast-paced nature of banquet events. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, as events may occur outside traditional business hours. Physical stamina is also required, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to remain on your feet during busy shifts. With a supportive team atmosphere and a strong focus on personal and professional development, the Banquet Supervisor position at the Murfreesboro Embassy Suites offers a rewarding career path for dedicated hospitality professionals.
