Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Proven leadership abilities
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain sanitation and safety standards
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience in event management, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Knowledge of banquet operations and event execution
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities
  • Ability to handle guest feedback and resolve complaints effectively
  • Familiarity with inventory management and scheduling
  • Basic understanding of food and wine pairings
  • Commitment to maintaining sanitation and safety standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

Job Duties

  • Assist in managing departmental inventories and assets including par levels and maintenance of equipment
  • Maintain attendance log for banquet employees
  • Enforce established sanitation levels
  • Adhere to and reinforce all standards, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure employee awareness of meeting planner survey and guest satisfaction scores
  • Order supplies for the department including china, glass, silver, buffet presentations, and service equipment
  • Use banquet beverage records to guide liquor cost control and inventory management
  • Assist in scheduling banquet staff to meet service standards and maximize profits
  • Attend and participate in pertinent meetings
  • Lead shifts and actively participate in event servicing
  • Apply and broaden knowledge of food and wine pairings and event presentation
  • Set a positive example for guest relations
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback and handle complaints
  • Empower employees to provide excellent customer service
  • Support departmental orientation and training programs
  • Provide feedback on employee service behaviors
  • Review guest satisfaction results with employees
  • Communicate and execute emergency and safety procedures
