The Banquet Manager Assistant role at Bass Pro Shops is a full-time position dedicated to supporting the Banquet Manager in maintaining high service standards for each banquet, catering function, or event. The assistant will handle day-to-day banquet and catering operations, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures to deliver a seamless food service experience. This role involves coordinating operational tasks both in the front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH), maintaining quality food preparation methods, and assisting in managing staffing levels, including hiring and training team members known as Outfitters.
The Assistant Banquet Manager plays a critical role in enforcing safety and sanitation standards, ensuring all operational basics are met, and promoting a culture of accountability among team members. Job Duties
- Manage day-to-day operations of banquets and catering in accordance with established policies and procedures
- coordinate the maintenance and development methods for high quality preparation of food
- assist in the maintenance and development of procedures for food service
- present menu items for maximum customer satisfaction
- assist in managing staffing levels and shift assignments
- assist in hiring and training team members
- develop and hold the team accountable to standards
- ensure adherence to operational basics, standards, SOPs, and SIPs in both FOH and BOH
- enforce safety and sanitation procedures
- exercise good judgement and be a role model within the restaurant
- learn new tasks, systems, and technologies
- perform all other duties as assigned
