The position of Assistant Banquet and Convention Services Manager at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill offers a remarkable opportunity for hospitality professionals seeking to advance their careers in the food and beverage events sector. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand for long periods and walk moderate distances
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weights
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Previous experience in banquets or food and beverage operations preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage banquet event operations and supervise event room setups

  • Coordinate with Food and Beverage teams including Restaurant, Bar, and Stewarding as required
  • Ensure compliance with event requirements and deliver exceptional guest experiences
  • Schedule and manage staff availability across days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Assist in training and mentoring banquet service staff
  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally
