The Assistant Bakery Manager role at Sprouts Farmers Market is a full-time position integral to maintaining the high standards of the bakery department. This role is perfect for someone passionate about preparing and baking a variety of baked goods such as cookies, bread, and muffins using proven ingredients and recipes. As an Assistant Bakery Manager, you will work closely with the Bakery Manager to provide excellent customer satisfaction through the leadership and management of Bakery Clerks, ensuring efficient daily operations within the bakery. This includes tasks ranging from merchandising and ordering inventory to supervising team members and maintaining product quality. The position demands a hands-on approach in a fast-paced, friendly environment where delivering extraordinary service while helping customers make healthy choices is paramount.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and merchandising the bakery department to maximize productivity and profitability. You will take charge of ordering and inventory controls, oversee product quality, and ensure that all bakery team members adhere to health, safety, and sanitation regulations. The position also involves managing the rotation of merchandise, building eye-catching displays, and monitoring incoming deliveries for any damaged items. You will assist in the unloading and sorting of deliveries and operate deli equipment in compliance with company standards. Effective communication and team leadership skills are essential, as you will be supervising the bakery staff and providing support to the Bakery Manager.
