The role of Assistant Bakery Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market is a full-time position responsible for assisting the Bakery Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations within the Bakery Department. Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a minimum of two years retail grocery experience
- Have two years supervisory experience
- Be dependable and reliable
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Possess outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- Have good communication skills
- Ability to give and take direction and work in a team environment
- Ability to answer phones and take special orders
- Perform general housekeeping in the department
- Be able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Use knowledge of scales and weight measures to accurately weigh and label products
- Able to stand for up to 3 hours continuously for a total of 8 hours per shift
- Able to lift and transfer items as required
- Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
- Obtain and maintain a Food Handlers permit
Job Duties
- Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
- Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team
- Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays
- Monitor in-coming cases for damaged items
- Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of Bakery product
- Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment
- Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and regulations, and validate that other Bakery team members are also following these procedures
