This role is based at the Weis Markets location at 2425 Schoenersville Road and involves joining a dynamic bakery team where customer satisfaction and product quality are paramount. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum two years management experience in retail, restaurant or supermarket environment
- Previous decorating experience preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with bakery operations
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures
- Willingness to wear and use Personal Protective Equipment as required
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Associate or bachelor's degree in business or food service field desirable
- Minimum two years management experience in retail, restaurant or supermarket environment

Job Duties
- Promotes excellent customer relations by instilling positive customer focused behavior with associates
- Smiles and greets customers, answers customer questions and helps resolve customer issues politely and professionally
- Takes customer orders over the phone or in person with a pleasant attitude
- Decorates cakes and bakery products using dyes, specific and custom designs adhering to company recipes
- Assists Bakery Manager with merchandising, ad execution, associate engagement and customer service
- Oversees department inventories by tracking sales reports, product orders and supplies
- Assists with scheduling bakery associates, participates in training, rewards and recognizes performance
- Develops and implements merchandising plans to meet financial goals
- Checks and verifies deliveries and invoices for accuracy
- Controls department expenses by improving operations and reducing losses
- Maintains product freshness and quality through proper handling and rotation
- Keeps bakery department well stocked and appealing
- Ensures merchandise is properly priced and labeled
- May assist with production of breads, pastries and baked goods
- Ensures smooth workflow by cooperating with co-workers and superiors
- Utilizes Personal Protective Equipment
- May assist in other departments when needed
- Supervises associates within the department when manager is absent or in partnership
