The company operates numerous stores that offer a wide selection of groceries, including a strong fresh bakery section. Harmons is dedicated to maintaining a positive work environment that values diversity, inclusiveness, and teamwork among its employees. The company also emphasizes the growth and development of its staff through ongoing training and mentoring programs, fostering a culture where employees can thrive and grow within the organization.

The Bakery Department Supervisor role at Harmons is a pivotal position responsible for assisting the Bakery Manager in ensuring the bakery runs smoothly, efficiently, and profitably. Safety is a priority in this role, with the supervisor participating actively in the Safety Committee to promote a safe workplace for both associates and customers. The position involves preparing bakery schedules to ensure adequate coverage while meeting labor goals and conducting quarterly inventory counts to manage product availability effectively. Providing regular, constructive feedback to bakery associates is essential to help them improve their skills and performance, creating a motivated and engaged team.

The position offers compensation in the range of $21.45 to $22.95 per hour, reflecting the responsibility and skills required. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, some college education preferred, and at least one year of bakery experience. A current Food Handler's Permit is mandatory. The role demands excellent communication, organization, and planning skills, as well as the ability to handle conflict professionally and make sound decisions. Candidates must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays and have a genuine passion for bakery products and the Harmons mission.

Working conditions involve a comfortable store environment, with potential exposure to hot, cold, slippery, and wet conditions.
