The current opportunity is for a full-time position as Manager, Athletic Event Operations & Facilities within the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at NCC. This role is critical to the smooth execution of all home athletic events, serving as the primary on-site event administrator. The Manager will oversee all aspects of athletic event scheduling, which involves coordination with opponents, officials, transportation providers, and event staff to ensure successful contests that adhere strictly to NJCAA, Region 19, and Northampton standards. The position also requires hands-on involvement in preparing and maintaining athletic facilities when necessary. Social media management plays a key part in the role, with responsibilities including posting updates before, during, and after events to engage the community and enhance the visibility of NCC’s athletic programs. The Manager must be flexible to work evenings and weekends, and may occasionally travel to regional or national championships, supporting the college’s competitive sports teams.

A thorough understanding of NCAA rules and regulations relevant to event management and facility compliance is essential. The position reports directly to the Executive Director of Athletics and requires an individual capable of working cooperatively with various departments and aligning activities with the overall mission and goals of Northampton Community College. Successful performance is measured by adherence to mutually agreed-upon objectives, cooperation with the administrative team, and effective execution of event operations and facility management.
