The role of Assembly/Test IV - Team Lead at Collins Aerospace is a vital position situated at the forefront of the complex mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly, testing, and fabrication operations. This position is classified as an onsite role at the Lenexa, Kansas facility and requires a U.S. citizen due to the sensitive nature of the work and the authorization requirements to access information under the specific program or contract. This role is not subject to security clearance requirements but necessitates strict adherence to quality and safety guidelines.

As the Assembly/Test IV - Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and conducting diverse and intricate assembly activities, ensuring precision and compliance with engineering specifications and standards. Your daily tasks will involve interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately assemble components with the aid of hand tools, electrical tools, cutters, and measuring equipment. You will manage inventory within your workstation to maintain consistent production flow and perform quality inspections to detect and address defects promptly.

This leadership role also requires a proactive approach in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment while supporting the team in meeting production goals and quality benchmarks. Physical demands of the position include lifting up to 25 pounds and standing for up to 10 hours per day, reflecting the hands-on and active nature of the work.
