Kaman Measuring & Memory is a specialized company renowned for delivering advanced non-contact displacement sensing systems. Serving multiple high-tech industries such as aerospace, industrial automation, energy, and research, Kaman Measuring & Memory provides precision measurement solutions that enable customers to achieve tighter control, higher efficiency, and improved system performance. The company prides itself on its strong technical expertise, innovative culture, and commitment to accuracy, service, and continuous improvement. Kaman Measuring & Memory emphasizes cutting-edge technology development and quality production processes to meet the demanding requirements of its diverse global clients. With a focus on manufacturing excellence and customer satisfaction, this company fosters a collaborative workplace environment where employees can grow alongside robust product lines that push the boundaries of measurement science and engineering.

The role of Assembler Technician at Kaman Measuring & Memory plays a critical part in the manufacturing operations by performing a variety of electronic and mechanical assembly tasks. Reporting directly to the Group Leader, this position requires diligent adherence to detailed work instructions, drawings, and process procedures to ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and compliance with customer and company specifications. The Assembler Technician’s responsibilities cover multiple assembly processes including printed wire board assembly, conformal coating, potting, ultrasonic cleaning, coil winding, crimping, wire stripping, soldering, evacuating and backfilling, component forming, and painting. The role demands precision and technical skill in both electronic and mechanical assembly operations.

In addition to assembly tasks, the Assembler Technician assists in in-process testing using tools like LCR meters and multi-meters to verify component functionality and quality standards. The position requires accurate serialization of sensors and labeling of electronic components essential for sales order traceability. The technician must carefully document test results, completed work, and any rework activities, promoting an environment of accountability and continuous process improvement. Maintaining required certifications such as Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and soldering certifications in line with IPC J-STD-001 standards is mandatory.

Moreover, the Assembler Technician contributes valuable feedback to engineering teams to help identify causes of component or system failures and supports rework activities under supervision. This role also involves supporting company-wide quality initiatives, including adherence to AS9100 standards and Statistical Process Control (SPC), as well as participating in ongoing training and mentoring of co-workers to uphold consistent production standards. Flexibility and willingness to work across different work cells are necessary to meet dynamic business needs. Candidates for this role should be detail-oriented, quality-driven, and eager to continuously improve their skills and knowledge.

This is a full-time position with working hours from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, offering a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability coverage, insurance plans, retirement savings with matching, and employee development opportunities. Kaman Measuring & Memory is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. Employment is contingent upon compliance with ITAR regulations requiring applicants to be U.S. persons as defined by export control laws.

Overall, the Assembler Technician role at Kaman Measuring & Memory offers a unique opportunity to be part of a highly respected technology-driven company where precision, quality, and innovation form the foundation of daily work.
