Located in McKinney, Texas, Raytheon Technologies is currently seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join their onsite team. This full-time role plays a critical part in supporting the repair and assembly of radio frequency systems within a large-scale manufacturing environment. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for ensuring that products meet stringent quality and safety requirements while facilitating smooth workflow operations in both standard and non-standard settings. This position requires an active DoD Secret security clearance, where U.S. citizenship and the ability to maintain clearance are mandatory due to the sensitive nature of the work.
In this role, you will utilize a variety of hand tools and interpret complex technical documents such as blueprints, schematics, and wire lists. Tasks include assembling, disassembling, modifying, reworking, refurbishing, and testing components within radio frequency systems. You will also provide leadership to junior assemblers, review their work progress, and ensure daily objectives align with production standards. Adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) standards and contamination prevention is essential to maintain product integrity.

- minimum of 1 year relevant experience in assembly or manufacturing
- u.s. citizenship required
- ability to obtain and maintain a u.s. government issued security clearance

- physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- adherence to ppe standards and safety protocols
Job Qualifications
- typically requires hs diploma or equivalent, e.g. g.e.d. in the us or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
- experience working in an assembly and/or manufacturing environment
- u.s. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a u.s. government issued security clearance
- experience lifting up to 25 lbs and work in a standing position for up to 10 hours per day
- experience interpreting drawing and blueprints
- experience in an esd environment
- experience working and collaborating with a team
Job Duties
- determine methods and sequence of assembly operations where complete information is not readily available or follow assembly shop and production operations sheets, wire lists, samples, blue prints, schematics and verbal instructions to perform a wide variety of assembly operations
- utilize small hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and hammers
- identify and select components to be integrated into sub-assembly and assembly units
- make your own set-ups, alignments and adjustments maintaining tolerance in accordance with instructions
- disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, reassemble, and test units as required
- provide work leadership to lower level assemblers through assignment or work review of progress and monitoring of results
- complete all daily tasks in your provided standard work
- adhere to ppe standards to prevent foreign objects and debris from contaminating products
- perform additional job duties as assigned
