This career opportunity invites candidates to become an Assembly Supervisor at Carrier, assuming a pivotal leadership role in managing and inspiring production teams. The role is rooted in the 1st shift schedule from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm EST and provides a competitive annual salary range from $64,500 to $129,500, with opportunities for short-term cash incentives. The Assembly Supervisor will oversee a substantial team of 60-80 employees, driving the achievement of operational, safety, quality, and continuous improvement metrics. Responsibilities include coaching, discipline enforcement, and effective communication to foster a productive and collaborative work environment. The role requires adaptability and values diverse leadership experiences, welcoming individuals from various sectors including manufacturing and beyond. Supervisors will champion continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime, enhance quality, and meet labor efficiency goals, ensuring smooth implementation of product and engineering changes. Job Requirements

  • Associate degree with 2+ years of experience in operations or supply chain management
  • 1+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office Suite

Job Qualifications

  • Associate degree with 2+ years of experience in operations or supply chain management
  • 1+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or related field (preferred)
  • Experience supervising unionized teams (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma processes (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) (preferred)

Job Duties

  • Developing and leading a team of 60-80 people to achieve operational, quality, and continuous improvement goals through training, coaching, discipline, and effective communication
  • Championing the use of continuous improvement tools to reduce downtime, improve quality, reduce scrap, and meet labor efficiency targets
  • Implementing product and engineering changes effectively and efficiently
  • Modeling and promoting adherence to environmental, health, and safety policies and initiatives
  • Prioritizing safety when assigning work to team members
  • Monitoring work order progress to ensure quality and timely completion
  • Maintaining accurate records of timecards and overtime
  • Fostering a positive working relationship with union representatives by adhering to the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement
