The Assembly Supervisor role at SkyChefs is crafted for a highly motivated and hands-on leader capable of managing a dynamic airline catering assembly team. This position is based in Des Plaines, USA, and offers an on-site work environment with an annual salary range between $59,796.82 and $74,746.03. The Assembly Supervisor will oversee the assembly of catering carts, which includes items like sodas, liquor, coffee kits, dry goods, and crew meals, ensuring that each flight is catered accurately and delivered on schedule. The role demands an individual who can operate effectively under tight time constraints, often within a 4 to 6-hour delivery window, emphasizing precision, food safety, and employee safety. Responsibilities also extend to supervising a commercial dishwashing line and ensuring that all carts and equipment are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and prepared for immediate use.
Success in this role requires exceptional leadership and organizational skills to manage production schedules and meet airline customer requirements and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) standards. The Assembly Supervisor must be comfortable working on their feet in a fast-paced environment and capable of making quick, sound decisions to maintain productivity and quality. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to operational excellence while supporting the company’s mission to provide outstanding service in a team-oriented workplace.
Working at SkyChefs comes with a suite of attractive benefits beginning from day one, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, employer-paid life insurance, and accidental death and dismemberment benefits. Employees gain access to a 401(k) plan with a company match, paid vacation, sick time, holidays, tuition reimbursement, free meals, and parking.
