The Analog Devices Inc. facility in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, is currently seeking multiple Manufacturing Electro-Mechanical Assembly Operators to bolster its growing manufacturing arm focused on high-performance microwave modules and sub-systems. This position offers an opportunity to join a high-tech, innovative environment that values energetic, organized, and quality-driven team members. The role primarily involves working with delicate electronic components and assemblies, requiring precision and attention to detail. The role is suitable for individuals with mechanical or micro-assembly experience aiming to work in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
This is a variable shift position with available shifts Monday through Friday, including first shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM EST), second shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM EST), and third shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM EST). The role demands hands-on work under a microscope and handling miniature tools such as tweezers and fine screwdrivers. Responsibilities include assembly and soldering of electronic components, inspection, detailed documentation review, and adherence to IPC-610 standards. Operators will perform tasks like MMIC die attach using silver epoxy, hybrid circuit assembly, and use of materials like Loctite and epoxy while handling ESD sensitive parts. The job demands excellent dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and a keen awareness of safety standards including OSHA guidelines. The position requires good computer skills for retrieving drawings and instructions and maintaining meticulous work area organization.
Candidates must be US citizens or eligible to obtain a government security clearance due to the nature of the technical data involved. The position welcomes those who are willing to learn through cross-training and contribute to a collaborative team environment. Analog Devices offers competitive pay ranging from $25 to $31 per hour with a discretionary performance-based bonus. Benefits include medical, vision, and dental coverage, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time. Travel up to 10% may be required. Job Requirements
- US citizenship and able/willing to obtain a government security clearance
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions/documentation
- Good computer skills
- 1 to 3 years working as a micro assembly or mechanical assembly preferred or related experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Willingness to be cross-trained and perform other related duties as required
- Good dexterity and eye/hand coordination
- Must maintain a very good attendance record

Job Duties
- Ability to work 8 hours under the microscope utilizing miniaturized hand tools such as tweezers and fine screwdrivers
- In-process inspection and self-inspection
- Hand solder components, wires, and jumpers into the assemblies per IPC-610
- Assemble and/or solder electronic components to printed circuit boards
- MMIC die attach of chip components using silver epoxy
- Hybrid circuit assemblies using silver epoxy and solder
- Ability to read and work from detailed process sheets, prints and drawings
