The company operates as a trusted disruptor in defense tech, providing end-to-end technology solutions that connect the space, air, land, sea, and cyber domains, all in the interest of national security. With a commitment to an inclusive and engaging environment, L3Harris empowers employees and promotes work-life success. Employees share dedication to customers' missions and professional growth, fostered by a culture deeply rooted in values, community dedication, and excellence in every aspect of their work. The role of Assembly C at L3Harris, located in Gardena, CA, offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a highly respected and innovative technology company. This position operates under the close supervision of the Lead and Production Supervisor and involves performing simple and repetitive assembly assignments that include magnetic and electro-mechanical work. Tasks range from simple to semi-complex assembly processes performed in compliance with work order instructions, engineering drawings, and manufacturing process specifications. Production requirements may vary, which means the role could require soldering skills adhering to military specifications or ANSI-J-STD-001 standards in addition to mechanical and assembly expertise, or might only require mechanical assembly skills, as determined by the Manager or Supervisor.

The Assembly C position is critical to the manufacturing process, including assembling electro-mechanical parts, inner chassis wiring connections, and magnetic assemblies through every stage from core and coil assembly to the final assembly. A basic understanding of the standard hardware installation sequence and the ability to read hardware descriptions on engineering Bills of Materials (BOM) and identify hardware characteristics are essential. Certification in soldering tests such as ANSI-J-STD-001 and/or IPC610 is required when applicable.

This role offers a work schedule of 9/80, meaning every other Friday is a non-workday, contributing to work-life balance. The salary range for this role is between $35,780 and $62,000. However, final offers may vary depending on experience and geographic location. Furthermore, L3Harris is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, inclusion, and a discrimination-free workplace. Employees may be required to obtain security clearances, and employment is contingent upon passing background checks and substance abuse testing where permitted by law. Joining L3Harris as an Assembly C means becoming part of a forward-thinking company rooted in innovation and national security, with a strong focus on employee satisfaction and growth.
